Giving your fridge and pantry a good detox

This post isabout giving your fridge and pantry a good detox to clean out the old and make way for the new.

There are certain foods in your fridge and pantry which may be causing you to feel tired, fatigued, cloudy minded, and worse of all… causing you to put on weight!

These foods include and are not limited to:

  • Chips

  • Processed biscuits

  • 2 minute noodles

  • Canned soups

  • Frozen microwave meals

  • Fizzy drinks

  • Ice cream

  • White breads & pastas

  • Boxed cakes & muffins

  • Processed meats

  • Saxa salt

  • Creamy dressings

  • Lollies

  • The list is endless….

I am blown away by how much toxic rubbish food is out there today. Foods full of preservatives, additives and colors which do more harm than good.

Foods such as these contain no nutritional value, which the body needs to function optimally, plus the body doesn’t recognise them as food…

These particular foods also come in misleading packaging such as low fat, low salt, low carb, low sugar etc…. not to mention the confusion with the healthy star rating.

It’s important to note that if a product states ‘low sugar’, it doesn’t mean it contains wholesome ingredients. More likely it will contain other harmful ingredients.

It’s no wonder so many individuals are lethargic, sick often and confused as to what to eat in this day and age.

So today, start going through your fridge and pantry one at a time and see what items you can bin or start leaving off your shopping list.

You may also have items in your fridge and pantry that have been there for quite some time that you hardly use and may even be expired. Take a look at these items and their expiry and work out whether or not it’s worth binning these items or keeping them.

This can be a difficult task as wasting food can be an issue. However, if its expired it’s best to throw this out. Other items you can use up in time and leave them off the shopping list moving forward.

So now you know how to give your fridge and pantry a good detox to clean out the old and make way for the new.
