Did you have a restful sleep last night?
If not... perhaps your phone is disturbing your sleep?
When clients come in for an appointment I always ask questions about their sleep as many struggle with getting a good nights sleep.
What I've discovered is one of the main causes of sleep disturbances for many of my clients (excluding being woken up by children or fur babies) is their phone.
Seriously? Yes!
The blue light from your phone disrupts the body's ability to prepare you for sleep due to blocking a hormone called melatonin which makes you sleepy.
Not only that, but we have become quite reliant on our phones and hours of time can get lost by just sitting in bed and scrolling, reading, looking at images and getting distracted all night long until whoops... its 12pm!
If you struggle falling asleep, wake up in the middle of the night and are unable to get back to sleep or don't get enough quality sleep this could be the reason.
Poor sleep quality not only contributes to many health problems but it can cause you to not feel motivated, create poor eating habits and have increased stress.
Start improving your sleep tonight by getting into the habit of putting the phone down at least 30 minutes before bed.
You'll be surprised at how much of a difference this can make to your quality of sleep.
And, if you'd like some help with improving your eating & lifestyle habits to increase energy levels, lose weight or improve your overall health I am always here to help.
